報(bào)告摘要:The Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment-2 (GOME-2) instruments, included on a series of MetOp satellites, have provided a consistent long-term NO2 dataset for more than a decade. The NO2 measurements have been extended by the new generation instrument TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) aboard the Sentinel-5 Precursor satellite with an unprecedented spatial resolution of 7 km * 3.5 km. Basics and state-of-the-science are introduced for the three main retrieval steps: spectral fitting, stratosphere-troposphere-separation, and air mass factor determination. The retrieval algorithm is applied on measurements from GOME-2 and TROPOMI, and the resulting NO2 data record is verified and validated using measurements from independent satellite retrievals and correlative ground-based instruments.
