Prof. Dr. Massimo Menenti, the State Specially Recruited Expert of China,  is an internationally renowned scientist in the fields of earth observation and global terrestrial water cycle. He has been the full professor (chair) at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. He also held senior research positions in The Netherlands, France, USA, China and Italy and has coordinated many large European projects with participants from Europe, Asia, America and Africa. He is also the CAS PIFI visiting scientist in 2020.
講座簡介:
In complex landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau, accurate and frequent observations of albedo are particularly important to capture its variability in time and space, taking the rugged terrain into account. The presentation will review examples of multi-source satellite data products against the background of such processes and interactions. Two cases will be described in some detail: a) the interrelation of retrieval of surface albedo and aerosol amount and properties; b) retrieval of water fluxes at the land - atmosphere interface.
